What was Common Sense and how did it influence the Colonies?

Common Sense is a pamphlet made by Thomas Paine in 1776. It took a full year to write the pamphlet. The pamphlet proves a list of positive reasons why colonists should approve the war for independence. This pamphlet was made to influence unsure colonists to support war and gain independence. It also gave the colonists the confidence they needed to start the war. This pamphlet showed the colonists that they deserved to be treated equally.
