How did the war progress in the southern colonies?

When the French entered the war the British decided to change their strategy. The British were concentrated on conquering colonies in the South. They defeated the Patroits in the battles at Savannah and Charleston, The battle at Camden, and the battles at Cowpens and Guilford Courthouse.
